Figure out who needs to care, how to make the case, and how hard to push, without making your job harder than it needs to be.

There are at least thirteen ways to push for this, from low-risk to high-risk, plus three ways to step back from it. Your answers narrow them down to the two that fit your situation and the amount of risk you can take.
