Turn a painful mistake into a written lesson instead of a buried memory.

Try this first

After a painful mistake, ask two questions. What did this cost us, and what will we do differently.

Use it when

Failures are buried or spiraled over rather than learned from.

Skip it when

It needs psychological safety, or it becomes a mechanism for blame. And for someone already prone to harsh self-criticism, steer it firmly toward the lesson.
